Community Hospital established the Community Hospital Orthopedic Clinic in 1992.

Scott Carroll, D.O., visiting hand surgeon from North Platte, will see patients at the clinic on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. He specializes in surgery of the hand including carpal tunnel and trauma injury.

Scott Franssen, D.O. and Michael McCarty, M.D., both specializing in general orthopedics, will see patients at the clinic every Tuesday and Wednesday. The physicians are associated with Central Nebraska Orthopedics and Sports Medicine which has offices in Grand Island and Hastings.

In addition to seeing patients in clinic, both surgeons also perform surgery in McCook, including joint replacements.
